When placing orders on our website for kits that normally include stuffing, please leave the “Withhold Stuffing” default option alone. Doing so will remove stuffing from the order, and will charge you only for the kits and not the stuffing.
If your order comes through with stuffing once stuffing is no longer available, we will remove the stuffing from the order and lower the cost of your order accordingly. If you paid online with a credit card, we will settle the credit card for the lower amount, once stuffing has been removed.
We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your understanding in this matter.
For the remainder of the month of June, we will finish processing and shipping all orders received on June 16th or earlier, as well as handling payments and answering questions as we wind down the operation.
Our final day in operation is expected to be Friday, June 30th, 2017.
As a bonus on large orders, we are still giving 5% large order discounts whenever your merchandise total reaches $300 or more. Therefore, on $300+ orders, you will actually receive a 30% discount from published catalog prices (prices that are 25% lower, and an additional 5% discount deducted from your invoice) automatically!
And to save even MORE money, take advantage of our “No Stuffing” Discount! If ordering projects that take stuffing (like pillows, felt friends or stuffed animals), if you have a local source for free or cheap stuffing, specify the “No Stuffing” Discount. We will send the kits without stuffing and save you even more on your order!
Please note the following:
1. REASON FOR THE CLOSING
Unfortunately, sales have been in a steady decline for a number of years due to market conditions, which already forced several of our competitors out of business over the last few years. It finally reached the point where the market could no longer sustain the viability of the business, despite our best efforts. It's a decision we deeply regret, and don't take lightly. We have loved being a part of your classroom and the sewing education of your students, and we truly regret that we can't continue to do so in the future.
2. PRODUCT AVAILABILITY
Until June 16th, 2017, we will continue to sell all Haan Crafts products while supplies last. As long as we have the kits or products, or the supplies to produce them, we will continue to offer them until we close. If/when a material or component required to make a certain product has been exhausted, that product will be discontinued.

After June 16th, 2017, Haan Crafts will no longer be accepting orders. However, a limited selection of Haan Crafts kits, including certain Cartoon Pillows and Felt Friends, will still be available from Nasco Education for the duration of the 2017 calendar year, or while supplies last. Beyond that, Nasco Education will be a valuable resource for sewing kits and supplies going forward, but no determination has been made yet about exactly which Haan Crafts products they will be carrying past 2017. Their product availability is subject to change and is solely at the discretion of Nasco Education.

For the reasons explained above, we strongly suggest placing final orders for Haan Crafts products directly from Haan Crafts as soon as possible, well in advance of June 16th, to maximize the likelihood that the product(s) you want will still be available.
3. SALE OR DISCOUNTS
Many customers have asked if we are going to have a big closeout sale to reduce our inventory prior to closing. This is something we have discussed and are strongly considering, but whether or not we do this will depend on how much inventory is left over . . . and since sales have been brisk since the announcement of the closing, our inventory levels are changing drastically every day. If/when we decide to have some sort of closeout sale, we will announce it on here on this page.
In the meantime, because products are discontinued as soon as we run out of the product and any of the components needed to produce it, and because sales have increased with news of the closing, we do recommend that you place orders soon if you want to minimize the possibility that your chosen product(s) will be permanently discontinued. The list of discontinued products is updated daily, and can be found here.
4. ACCOUNT BALANCES
Whenever possible, we are asking customers to pay the balances on their accounts by June 16th. If you receive a statement for the balance on your account in June, please pay it promptly.
5. REWARDS DISCOUNT PROGRAM
Any Rewards Discount coupons that you received in August of 2016 that have not yet been redeemed can still be redeemed through Haan Crafts until June 16th, 2017. Just mention the coupon while placing your order. These coupons can only be redeemed through Haan Crafts, not through Nasco, and will expire on June 16th, 2017.
The original plan for this program was that in July of 2017, we would calculate Rewards Discounts for all of our customers for the upcoming school year and distribute those coupons in August of 2017, for use anytime during the 2017-2018 school year. However, the closing of Haan Crafts also means the discontinuation of this program going forward. No new Rewards Discount coupons will be issued or available. We apologize for any inconvenience.
6. DELIVERY DELAYS ARE POSSIBLE (added 5/4/2017)
Our goal has always been to ship orders by the next business day, whenever possible. While we will still strive to ship orders as fast as possible, orders might take longer depending on order size, inventory levels, and staffing levels. As we wind the business down, we appreciate your understanding if a few additional days are necessary to ship orders.
7. ALL SALES ARE FINAL – RETURNS NO LONGER ACCEPTED (added 5/5/2017)
As we begin preparation for closing our doors, we are no longer able to accept merchandise returns. Effective immediately, all sales are final. We apologize for any inconvenience.
